Welcome
Life can feel overwhelming at times, leaving us stressed, stuck, or unsure of the next step. Whether you are navigating long-standing challenges or facing new struggles, you don’t have to face them alone. For those already struggling, or to those with newfound struggles, let's build a path forward--together.
I opened my private practice in 2020 to provide compassionate, personalized care for individuals, couples, and families. During the pandemic, while working in medical social work, I realized what people wanted most was not to be talked at, but to have genuine time to talk things through and truly be listened to. This understanding became the foundation of my practice and continues to shape how I connect with every client.
I have used all of my life experiences to inform my practice. From my early days working in the service industry in Myrtle Beach, to housekeeping, and to leading childcare classrooms, I have seen firsthand how every role and stage of life carries value. These experiences remind me daily that the human experience matters on every level—it isn’t just learned in the college classroom, but through connection, resilience, and everyday life.
Over the years, I have worked extensively with children, teens, adults and elders in a variety of roles, including:
In my practice, you set the direction. I work alongside you as you define your own goals and shape a plan for your future. I believe clients have the inner resources to overcome challenges, and therapy can help uncover and strengthen those abilities.
I primarily use Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. I
draw from an eclectic array of evidence-based approaches so that treatment is personalized to each client rather than one-size-fits-all. My goal is to adapt therapy to your unique needs, strengths, and circumstances.
Trauma Recovery
I have extensive experience working with survivors of sexual, physical, and emotional trauma. My approach is gentle, collaborative, and paced to your comfort level. I use trauma-informed practices to create a safe environment where healing can happen.
Grief & Loss
I work with clients of all ages who are navigating the loss of a loved one, life transitions, or other deeply felt changes. My role is to provide space for processing grief in your own way while also helping you find meaning, hope, and strength.
Work-Related Stress & Burnout
I help professionals experiencing burnout, compassion fatigue, and the pressures of demanding careers.
First Responders & Secondary/Tertiary Trauma
I provide care for first responders and helping professionals who face ongoing exposure to trauma, including secondary and tertiary trauma.
Military Service Trauma & Stress
I work with veterans and active service members coping with combat-related trauma, reintegration challenges, and the long-term effects of service.
Substance Use & Recovery
I support individuals navigating substance use challenges, whether as a primary concern or alongside other mental health struggles. My approach emphasizes non-judgment, harm reduction, and building healthier coping strategies.
Chronic & Temporary Mental Health Conditions
I work with clients experiencing both chronic mental health conditions (such as depression, anxiety, or PTSD) and temporary struggles brought on by life stress, loss, or transition. Each client’s care plan is tailored to their needs, whether managing long-term stability or finding relief during a difficult season.
I also believe therapy should meet you where you are. For some, that looks like sitting together in the office, while for others it might mean walking outdoors in nature. Whenever possible, I offer walk-and-talk therapy sessions in parks or on local trails. Being outdoors often helps reduce stress, improve mood, and bring a sense of calm to the therapeutic process.
At the heart of my work is a simple goal: to create a safe and genuine space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to take steps toward the life you want to live.
