I believe that the world needs more humans who understand and are comfortable with all parts of themselves. Those who are able to see the beauty in those who are different from them. People who aren't afraid to be wrong, make mistakes, and learn. I would love to join you on this journey to be the best versions of ourselves.

I'm a woman, mother, partner, neighbor, friend, and therapist.
I've spent my life caring about and for others, from working as a writer & editor for women's magazines in NYC, advocating for new parents + maternal mental health, and raising children (and more than a few animals) . . . to facilitating groups for grieving families and counseling college-aged young adults. People say I'm hopeful, attentive, fearless (not true!), funny, and fierce. Well, at least the ones I listen to the most.
I grew up in Texas, attended college in Vermont, and then moved to the beautiful Pacific Northwest for graduate school at the University of Washington, where I received an M.A. in US Environmental History. Many years, and several iterations later, I returned to school at the University of Puget Sound here in Tacoma, earning a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling (M.Ed).
In my spare time, you can find me downhill skiing, watching professional soccer, working in my garden, being silly with anyone who will tolerate it, walking my dogs, or just exploring the nooks-and-crannies of my neighborhood.
